Running DSET on VMware ESX

Linux DSET link: http://support.dell.com/dset Summary of steps to perform action: •Create user with SSH access •Copy over file to server using WinSCP •Connect to server using Putty/SSH client •Run su - •Run DSET using Putty •Copy completed DSET report back to your computer Things you will need: 1.root login to the ESX server. 2.Putty (which you will download later in the instructions) 3.WinSCP (which you will download later in the instructions) 4.DSET.bin file (which you will download later in the instructions) 5.Vsphere client (which can be downloaded by typing in the IP of the ESX server if you don’t have it already. The first thing you have to do is enable SSH from the ESX server console. This has to be done by being physically at the server unless you have previously already enabled it.
